What lesson formats are available at the school?

All lessons in the Music Department are individual. The Ballet Department offers both group and individual lessons.

How much do lessons cost?

Group lessons start from CHF 540 per semester, individual lessons from CHF 1'170 per semester. The full price list is available under Documents.

Can my child attend a trial lesson first?

Yes. The trial lesson is free and lasts 30 minutes.

From what age can my child start?

Baby Classic from age 2, Introduction to Music for ages 3–5, and voice and instrumental lessons usually from age 4–5. Ballet from around age 3.5.

What happens after the trial lesson?

If you would like to continue, the school suggests a suitable group or teacher and confirms the available place.

Can we join during the semester?

Yes, if a suitable place is available.

When can the contract be cancelled?

The first 3 months are a trial period. After that, the contract can be cancelled at the end of a semester: by 30 November or 31 May.

What happens if my child misses a lesson?

Missed lessons are not automatically made up. In case of illness and advance notice, the teacher will try to offer a replacement time. If the offered time does not work for the family, the lesson is considered missed.

What happens if the preferred group is full?

We place your child on the waiting list and, if possible, offer a suitable alternative.

How is the right group selected?

We consider the child's age, experience, level and development – not only the year of birth.

Where do lessons take place?

In Zug: Aegeristrasse 20. In Baar: Obermühle 6. All ballet and dance lessons take place in Baar.

How large are the groups?

Usually a maximum of 7–8 children, depending on age and programme.

Are lessons held during school holidays?

There are no regular lessons during the holidays listed in the school calendar.

Can my child take more than one subject?

Yes. Each subject is booked and charged separately.

Are there discounts or financial support?

Yes. The second and each additional child receive a 10% sibling discount. Social support and Crescendo scholarships are also available.

Does my child have to take part in concerts and performances?

For most students, participation depends on the project. For Performance Classes and scholarship students, participation in certain projects is mandatory.

Are rehearsals and performances charged separately?

Required rehearsals for school projects are included in the fee. Additional events and costumes may be charged separately.

Which languages are lessons taught in?

The main languages are German, English and Russian. Additional languages may be available depending on the teacher.

Are lessons available for adults?

Yes. Adults can take individual music lessons as well as group and individual ballet lessons.
