Valeri Tolstov is a versatile musician, educator, and arranger originally from Yerevan. He studied at the Yerevan State Conservatory and later earned his concert diploma with distinction in flute from the Zurich University of the Arts.

An award-winning artist at international competitions and festivals, Valeri has performed in over 20 countries and collaborated with renowned artists such as Serj Tankian (System of a Down), Tigran Hamasyan, and Stewart Copeland (The Police). He is active in classical, world music, jazz, rock, and experimental genres. He leads several original projects including Authentic Light Orchestra, Kosmonavty, and Paradigma Project, and also composes music for film and theatre.

As a teacher, Valeri applies an individualized approach based on each student's needs, pace, and interests. He incorporates improvisation, original compositions and arrangements, and creates a relaxed and creative learning environment. His teaching emphasizes both technical precision and musical expression.
